Our bespoke wedding cakes are handcrafted using the finest ingredients, finished with precision and meticulous attention to detail. Your wedding cake will be an amazing centrepiece that is truly unique.
Traditionally, wedding cakes have been of the rich fruit cake variety but at Madeleine’s Cake Boutique, your wedding cake can be almost any flavour you like.
Most of our cakes can be covered in sugar paste, buttercream, ganache or just left ‘naked’.
You can also choose a combination of flavours and fillings, which can be incorporated into multitiered cakes. Gluten free wedding cakes are also an option. For a list of flavours we offer, please see our Layer Cake range here.
If you’d like to discuss your wedding cake requirements, please give us a call and book a consultation.
You can sample our cake flavours and enjoy one of our speciality teas. During your wedding cake consultation we’ll discuss colours, themes, number of guests, flowers, dresses and prices, and any other relevant information that will make the creation of your wedding cake as simple as possible.
Note:
The Wedding Cake Consultation cost will be £20.
The table gives a rough guide as to the number of portions you can cut from different sized square or round cakes.
Traditionally, fruit cakes are cut into pieces measuring 1 inch x 1 inch, whilst sponge cake portions are usually larger, about 2 inch x 1 inch. This means a sponge cake cuts into fewer portions than a similar sized fruit cake.
We also offer wedding cake stands for hire. The price and deposit will depend on what type of stand you choose.
Please get in touch to find out more or ask about cake stands during your wedding cake consultation.
The price of your wedding cake will depend on the size, the number of tiers, flavours, and decorations.
We can discuss costs and budgets during your wedding
cake consultation.
As a guide our 4” 6” 8” three tier wedding cake starts at £350.00.
All wedding cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost.
The final balance is payable 28 days prior to collection. Orders placed that are required within 28 days will need to be paid in full upon order confirmation.
Payment can be made in our Boutique by cash or credit/debit card or by direct bank/building society transfer.
We’ll let you know when you can collect your wedding cake
from the Boutique and we’ll also give you all the necessary assembly instructions.
Extreme care should be taken during transportation. The cake must be positioned on a flat surface within your vehicle and should not be placed on the seats. Sudden braking, sharp turns and potholes must be avoided as practically as possible.
Weather conditions must also be taken into consideration. If it’s a warm day, make sure to have the air conditioning on throughout the journey. Once the cakes have been collected from the Boutique, please be advised that full responsibility for the cake lies with you and we are not liable for any possible damages.
We can also arrange to have your wedding cake delivered.
This service will incur a charge and delivery times are subject to availability although we will do our best to accommodate your requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure we have the correct delivery information and that someone is available to accept the delivery.
A signature, confirming receipt will be required upon delivery. If the recipient is not in, the order will be returned to Madeleine’s Cake Boutique. We will then contact you to arrange an alternative delivery or collection time.
This may incur an additional charge which will be payable by you.
Madeleine’s Cake Boutique accepts no responsibility for any loss or consequential loss incurred by you as a result. All other
deliveries will be by courier. Once the order is signed for any
compensation for damages will have to be claimed from the courier by you.
