Madeleine’s Cake Boutique, founded in 2014 by Lisa Martini, is now under the new ownership of Patience Hlophe.
Patience - a Le Cordon Bleu culinary management and pastry graduate - is thrilled to continue the boutique’s tradition of creating amazing cakes from the same premises in East Sheen, southwest London.
Patience’s interest in baking started early as her mother, also a Le Cordon Bleu-trained cook, loved making cakes for her friends and family from the heart of her home.
Patience further developed her passion whilst working for the airline industry. This gave her the opportunity to travel, sampling the most delicious pastries from renowned food establishments across the world.
Next, following in her mother’s footsteps, she enrolled at the world’s best culinary school - Le Cordon Bleu London. In 2014, she graduated with a Grand Diploma in Cuisine & Pastry and a Distinction in Culinary Management.
Patience then worked as a pastry chef at one of the best hotel resorts in South Africa.
She’s now fulfilling her ambition and moving her love of baking to the next level by taking on the well-established Madeleine’s Cake Boutique, which has been rated one of the top three businesses in Richmond-on-Thames.
Patience is supported by a small, highly creative team of bakers and cake decorators.
